While in NYC for the Play Live Challenge & Chess Works, Magnus did a timed, blind simul in front of thousands of people. There was no order, and Magnus had 1/3 of the time. Watch and see how it all went down.

  1. Did anyone notice, this game was just not fair to the 3 opponents… the guy making the moves on Carlson's behalf unknowingly distracted the 3 opponents with his shadow on the boards constantly… it would not have changed the result nonetheless.

  2. I want to know if Magnus moves here are all still good moves

  3. I cannot believe this is true…. how is this possible?

  4. I cant believe this how tf can he make this blind AGAINST 3?!?!

  5. “That was risky!” My favorite line.

  6. I would understand someone being able to do this in 1vs1, maybe with me being so confused 1vs2, BUT HOW IS HE POSSIBLE TO MANAGE 1vs3 BLINDFOLDED, THATS CRAZY

  7. Meanwhile I can't even memorize my wife phone number

  8. The way that they just LEAVE the blindfold like that, just doing Magnus dirty.

  9. Look terrified? It’s a chess game…the stakes couldn’t possibly be lower.

  10. Dude, the host literally looks like he has an implant over his head. That DOESN'T fit his head at all

  11. "Without a clock I can do a lot more than three boards" this man is a beast

  13. Najdorf simultaneously played 45 opponents blindfold 75 years ago. Gareev has the record now at 48. Against 3 is easy – cheap modern hype here.

  16. wow, checkmate, resignation, timeout, beauitful!

  17. this is really one of the most incredible thing I've ever seen in my life

  18. 24:36 When Magnus told player two "you had excellent position, this board was difficult," the guy said thank you like he got reduced to a little boy getting a gold star for good behavior 😂

  19. Board 2 played C4 while magnus called board 3 C4! If you organize something like this you should pay better attention! Amazing play by magnus!

  20. Next opponent for Magnus Carlsen is Blind Magnus Carlsen

  21. this man's forehead is bigger and brighter than my future.

  22. I would jump and scream to fix the blindfold…. can't watch. And what is with lighting, they can't afford proper lights?

  23. There difently has to be a better way to feed him the information.

  24. I love Magnus! But it looked a little rigged….

  25. Use phonetic alphabet – beta, delta etc. Much simpler.

  26. bru is his time going down on those boards? while 1v3ing 💀

  27. Amazing display. Even more incredible was the great chess player Pillsbury who was known for his incredible blindfold chess displays, one of which was playing 22 opponents! Pillsbury won a staggering 17 games, lost one and drew four!!

  28. 12:32 somebody whispered "castle there" and straight after that whisper a castle happen .. who was that whispering

  29. I have zero doubt Carlos is the most amazing player ever to live. But this challenge where the guy of board last position, isn't it. I'm sure, with open eyes, he could walk around a room of 100's people and easily win, but not today. Not play blindfolded without reminders :(.

  30. C’est d’autant plus impression que le présentateur lui communique mal les coups.

  31. The best I would do is miss the chair when sitting down
