Our experience at the Big Indie Pitch at Brighton

The Big Indie Pitch is a networking and pitching event hosted by PocketGamer.biz and supported by Amazon AppStore as a side event of Develop:Brighton.

With its unique speed dating format, it gives each developer four minutes with each panel of journalists, evangelists and influecers to receive real feedback from the event.

Our game, DIAMONST – Augmented Reality RPG, was one of the finalist at the event and for us it has been a great occasion to receive some feedback about our project.

Even if we didn’t win the competition, the other finalists were in a far more advanced development stage, we have been very happy to see the sparkles in the eyes of the judges when we were talking about our project and our intentions to bring a gaming adventure in the real world.

Of course, our congratulations to the winners of the competition, you can read about them in this article: Big Indie Pitch Winners.

The day after we enjoyed taking part at the conferences of the event and we received some great tips about the development process and how to market an Indie Game the hopefully will come in handy in our close future.

We also had the chance to meet and talk with some publishers, investors and tech evangelists along with some great and funny developers such as John Keefe, the inventor of SwapBots, another Augmented Reality game that you have to check it out!

Events like this are great to make connections and learn something useful from experts of the industry and we are very happy to be a part of all this.
